I like snail mail a lot. It gets me off my phone and connects me to someone living in another corner of the world. Even if it’s a bill, I think “Wow, how nice of them to waste paper to tell me they’ll bill me automatically next month.”
I digress, and don’t like bills. But what I do like, are postcards. What a way to share the love of travel and connection with someone. In under 150 words, you tell someone you care about why this amazing place is truly amazing, and usually with a cool picture too. It’s the original Tweet, and far more meaningful and impactful!
That’s why we’ve set up an International Postcard Club, where every month you’ll receive a card from wherever we happen to be traveling. And instead of the old “Hey Grandma! I’m loving Bermuda because BLABLAHBLAHHH” You’ll get a card that’s actually weird and unique and inspiring. You may find a card from a Monkey masseuse in Gibraltar, or a Termite Mound appraiser in the Australian Outback. There’s still time to sign up for March’s card, all you have to do is send me a DM or click on this link to go to our Etsy page. Weekend Rambler readers also get 10% off their first month, so sign up today!
If you’re already a part of our club, STOP READING NOW because you’ll get a spoiler for this month’s card, ya sicko!
Here’s a look at this month’s special postcard all the way from Paraguay.

“Mba’eichapa!
Darling, I’m writing to you as Paraguay’s newest Premier Fashion Designer! ‘A chicken like you.’ you ask? My dear, I’m not just ANY poultry. I’m a visionary. When the humans have their San Francisco Solano Parade, I don’t merely participate — I transform the very concept of wearable art! One must give all of themselves to their craft…so I did! Art demands sacrifice, and my plumage was my medium! The plucking was tedious, naturally, but what is genius without struggle? Anyway, enjoy this image of my designs in motion, and know that I’m open to future collaborations with those who appreciate true artistry!
XOXO Hidalgo the Chicken
P.S. If you have any coats to spare, let me know. I’m quite cold.”
Postcard script: Gente con disfraces, conocidos como “Guaikuru Ñemonde”, en la fiesta de San Francisco Solano (Compañia Minas, Emboscada, Paraguay).
Translation: People with costumes, known as “Guaikuru Ñemonde”, in the part of San Francisco Solano in the town of Compañia Minas.

And for a few extra bucks, you can receive a sealed envelope with this postcard and several trinkets along with it. This month, we send a some Palo Santo incense along with a hand woven bracelet and hand woven Ñanduti, a style of lacework practiced in Paraguay meaning “spider web” in Guarani.
You can still sign up for March’s postcard, all you have to do is click this link to visit our Etsy and pay $8. What’s stopping you from a monthly bit of fun and adventure?
